The career of Anthony Mundine is not over yet after the boxing champion announced he would be returning to the ring to fight Australian Muay Thai fighter John Wayne Parr.
Mundine was famously knocked out in just 96 seconds in his last fight against Jeff Horn in the Banger Under The Hanger.
It sparked retirement talks with Mundine seemingly chasing another fight and another opportunity to redeem himself again Horn.
But when the opportunity didn't appear to present itself, Mundine appeared to quietly retire.
Until now.
The outspoken Aussie sportsman and multiple time World Champion has finally revealed he will fight 43-year-old Gold Coast kickboxing champion John Wayne Parr at the Gold Coast Convention Centre or Brisbane Convention Centre in November.
Just yesterday Mundine denied he'd signed on to fight and said the 'only reason I would do it is to redeem myself for myself, family and fans'.

Mundine said the fight would be the a huge fight for Australia with the mix of two combat world.
'He's a deadset legend,' Mundine said. 'He's internationally known. I've got nothing but respect for the brother. But I'm going to show him who's his daddy in the boxing ring.
'I want to make sure I'm in tip-top shape because John Wayne Parr will be. This is Australia's version of the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight — two champs from different fight sports and we know how that one finished. The slick boxer won easy.'
The fight is set to take place at 75kg, 4kg more than Mundine fought in the Horn bout.
Mundine has a professional career record of 48-9 in 57 bouts with 28 knockouts but has won just two of his last six fights.

But it was the Horn fight that really sent Mundine's stocks crashing.

After demanding a rematch, Horn stuck the boot in.
'I don't like putting Mundine down, but there's a different level now between me and Mundine. He's past his best now,' Horn said in January.
Mundine also said Parr would start the fight as favourite.
The kickboxing champ is no slouch with the gloves.
A former Australian middleweight champion, Parr has 10 wins — all knockouts — and three losses in his boxing career. He has never been knocked out.
He's also chasing his 100th kickboxing win in August before switching to the boxing ring.

Parr said he felt he could secure his legacy in the sport with a win over Mundine.
'My last boxing fight was 2003 against former WBC world champion Sakio Bika that I lost on points over 12 rounds,'' Parr said at a press conference on Saturday night.
'My KO ratio in boxing is 100 per cent with 10 wins, 10 knockouts, so I know if I can land I can hurt whoever it is in front of me. I'm doing this to secure my legacy as one of Australia's greatest.''
Parr also took to social media to confirm the bout.
